2020 Apr 17 - 19 FOLK WEEKEND: OXFORD www.folkweekendoxford.co.uk ⇒ see Oxfordshire news
→ OXFORD. Numerous venues across the city.
⌂ info<at>folkweekendoxford.co.uk for general enquiries.
⊕ The Folk Weekend will run on a partnership / fringe-type basis: Folk Arts Oxford will curate a programme of events, together with partner organisations Arts at the Old Fire Station, The Story Museum, Holywell Music and Folk, Oxford Contemporary Music, The North Wall Arts Centre, Oxfordshire County Music Service, Oxfolk, Oxford Folk Club, and more. Each partner will put on fantastic folk events, coming together under the Folk Weekend banner.
And the volunteer committee are working on the grassroots aspects of the festival - sessions, morris dancers, and opportunities for local artists to perform.
There’s exciting opportunities for amateur promoters, bands, or artists to be part of the festival by hiring a venue and hosting their own fringe events - workshops, concerts, or dances - we’d love to have you! For a small contribution towards marketing (getting you featured in the programme and on our website and social media channels), you can use the Folk Weekend name and logo for your event. You will manage the event yourself, and keep 100% of any ticket sales you make: to find out more, email info<at>folkweekendoxford.co.uk.
